Signs of a Bad Relationship

People find themselves repeatedly selecting the wrong type of person for themselves.  It is almost like a bad habit where they pick the wrong person and the relationships always seem to end up failing.  While there could be stronger and more deeply rooted psychological issues attached to this pattern; it could also just mean that you aren’t picking up on signals early on that you should not get into the relationship in the first place.  If you are attracted to some bad qualities in the opposite sex it can lead to some very unhealthy relationships.

If you can catch these signs early on and have a willingness to break the habit then you still have a chance.  Change at first may be difficult and a few eggs (more relationships) may be cracked in the process, but it will eventually lead to much healthier relationships.  You will need to retrain yourself to be attracted to a different sort of person than you normally are.

Try to work in the topics that are causing you the most grief in relationships.  Perhaps you have been getting involved with people that drink too much or are rage-a-holics.  Try to work these topics into conversation and make sure it doesn’t sound like a questionnaire or interrogation.  If you can find out some of their traits beforehand it will save you a lot of time in the future.

You don’t have to mention everything that your ex did wrong.  That can’t harm a relationship if you talk about your ex too much, but you can keep an eye out for those warning signs.  No matter how pretty or handsome or smart or rich this person is, if one of those negative traits pop up, you should probably walk away.  One good attribute isn’t always the best defense for a bad behavior.

If you can start to get your healthy habits going, you will find yourself much happier.  Relationships can be worked on, but if you weed out the behaviors that have caused you grief in the past, it will be much less work and you can spend that time being happy.
